Two illegal workers detained at County Durham Car Wash after a public concern – the northern echo

Officers from the Durham City Police Team have helped the implementation of the UK immigration in the investigation of the Coxhoe car wash.

Employees acted after fears raised by the public about some of the workers there.

After detailed inspections, two workers were detained by immigration staff due to illegal work in the UK.

The car wash was temporarily closed, but police claims that workers will legally continue to provide the service for washing cars to the local community.
