Two houses in Birmingham go up in flames; Locations just minutes apart – Alabama news anchor

Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to two separate fires early Friday morning. The locations are only minutes away from each other.

A home in the 500 block of Camellia Rd sustained extensive damage. A car parked next to the house was also damaged. The BFRS says the response was made shortly after 3am on Friday. A woman was inside the house but got out safely.

No impacts to nearby structures were reported.

House on block 300 of Blvd. Eastview also went up in flames Friday morning.

BFRS says the call came in around 3am about a fire showing from a building.

Extensive damage was seen on the right side of the house. A car near the home was also damaged.

A family lives in the house.

No injuries were reported in either fire. The homes are not designated as a total loss.

The causes of both fires are under investigation.
