Two employees of the Fresco Y Más Supermarket at Hialeah were arrested for fraud after they were caught carrying products from the store without making the appropriate payment.

Authorities identified women like Eva Ailin Fernandez and Adela Cabiro, who hired a consistent course of action to profit from their position as cashiers. According to the police report – forwarded by Univision – this is the supermarket manager who noticed the anomalies and notified the relevant authorities.

As part of the evidence, she presented numerous records from the restaurant monitoring cameras, which clearly showed how women participate.

The supermarket video surveillance cameras show that the defendants repeatedly check one product, while at the same time checking other products without the barcode reader registering them, giving the impression that they are charged properly. This allowed them to remove the products without being recorded in the payment system.

According to initial analysis, this behavior is observed repeatedly and at different times. According to investigators, the total number of seized products is 1,300, but they have never reached their hands. The Univisión News site does not reflect the nationality of the women involved in his report, but according to the independent media outlet “La Tijera”, they are Cuban.

So far, Fresco Y Más has not made official comments about the incident.
