Two arrested in shooting in Barrestow; A suspect as a whole and is considered armed and dangerous – Victor Valley News – VVNG

Barstow, California (vvng.com) – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting investigation while another remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.

On Friday, January 24, 2025, approximately 2:37 pm, police officers in Barrestou responded to a shopping center located in 500 block of East Virginia Weis on the shooting.

Employees arrived at the scene of the incident and placed several fired cartridges on the ground near the entrance of a business at the mall.

In addition, a vehicle parked in front of the business received a rear broken window due to a rifle.

Barrestou police impact detectives have responded to assistance in the investigation.

Officers and detectives were placing the scene, gathered evidence and identified participating parties such as 21-year-old La Derrick Jones, 22-year-old Alex Carter, and 22-year-old Savannah Aguilar, all Barletow residents.

Later, the detectives were Carter and Aguilar at the Jasper Road 3600 residence and arrested them without incidents.

Carter is booked in the sheriff center of San Bernardino County in Adelato for PC 664/187 (A) – an attempt at murder and PC 29800 (A) – a criminal holding a firearm.

Aguilar was booked in the sheriff center of San Bernardino County Sheriff at the desert detention center in Adelato for PC 32 – accessory and unrelated exceptional order.

Detectives received an arrest warrant for Jones; However, it remains free and is considered armed and dangerous.
