Twin Lakes, WisConsin Missing Man: A 70-year-old man disappeared after falling through ice in water while you are on ATV, say employees-BC7 Chicago

Twin Lakes, Ill. (WLS) – A man disappeared Thursday after he fell through ice in water while he was at ATV in Wisconsin, employees said.

Thursday warming temperatures led to dangerous conditions of lakes in the area.

Emergency crews are looking for a 70-year-old man after ATVs dropped through a thin ice on Elizabeth Lake in Gemini Lakes, Wisconsin.

By Thursday night, the search has become an operation to recover, police said. It was a pause for the night after 21:00 and will resume at 7:30 am, police said.

“Our hearts come out to the family and friends of the missing man during this incredibly difficult moment, and we continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers,” the police said.

Authorities said the other two people, who were also at ATV, had done it safely from the water and did not suffer.
