Barnsley will look to claim a second straight win when they host Charlton Athletic to Oakwell for Tuesday’s League One contest.

The Tykes are currently ranked eighth in the First League tablewhile the Addicks are one point behind in 12th position.

We say: Barnsley 1-1 Charlton Athletic

With the two teams separated by just one point, we expect Tuesday’s clash to be a tight affair that could end in a draw, especially as Barnsley have drawn three of their last four home league games.

Birmingham City will look to maintain their unbeaten home record in Ligue 1 when they welcome Bolton Wanderers to St. Andrew’s on Tuesday.

Having collected 25 points from 10 games, the hosts are leading in League Oneand the guests are in 11th position with 17 points on their account.

We say: Birmingham City 3-1 Bolton Wanderers

Birmingham have taken 25 points from a possible 30 in League One this season and while Bolton have gone five games unbeaten in the league, we think the hosts will show their quality to claim a fifth straight win at home in the third tier.

Two sides bottom of the League One table meet on Tuesday evening when Bristol Rovers play host to Town of Shrewsbury at Memorial Stadium.

The hosts are 18th in the table with 13 points from 11 games, while the visitors are 21st in the standings with just eight points from their opening 12 games.

We say: Bristol Rovers 2-1 Shrewsbury Town

Both teams have struggled during the early stages of the 2024-25 season, but given Bristol Rovers’ home advantage and their stronger record in recent meetings, we believe they will win this one.

The lower part of the table Burton Albion will host high-flyers Wycombe Wanderers at the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday night in Ligue 1.

The hosts are at the foot of the table with just four points from 10 games, while the visitors are third with 20 points from their first 10 games.

We say: Burton Albion 1-3 Wycombe Wanderers

These two sides are in completely opposite form heading into the game, with Wycombe undoubtedly favorites against a side yet to secure a win in the league, leading us to expect a comfortable victory for the visitors.

Lincoln City will look to get back to winning ways in League One when they make the trip to West Sussex to face City of Crawley on Tuesday evening.

The hosts are third from bottom in the league standings with seven points from 11 games, while the visitors are seventh with 18 points from 10 games.

We say: Crawley Town 1-2 Lincoln City

Lincoln City have been one of the most improved sides in the league this season and although they were beaten relatively comfortably by the Blues last time out, we think they will bounce back with a solid performance this one.

Exeter City will be looking to extend their impressive run of results in Ligue 1 when they take over Reading at St James’ Park on Tuesday night.

The hosts enter this contest in fifth place in the league standings with 19 points after their opening 10 games, while the visitors are 13th with 16 points in the same period.

We say: Exeter City 2-1 Reading

Although Reading have been the dominant side in this fixture over the years, their away record this season has been very poor, while Exeter have been in sensational form and are aiming for a fifth successive home win.

We’re expecting an entertaining contest here, but we imagine they host to suggest the result in a close contest.

Both are looking to bounce back from 1-0 defeats in Ligue 1 fixtures at the weekend, Leyton Orient and Rotherham United hits at Gaughan Group Stadium on Tuesday night.

The home side’s struggles continued with a narrow loss to Northampton Town on Saturday as the Millers succumbed to a first minute goal against the promotion chasers Wrexham.

We say: Leyton Orient 0-1 Rotherham United

Clarke-Harris’ absence means Rotherham lose their main goalscorer, but the Millers could have got something from their game against Wrexham if they had been a little more clinical.

On Tuesday, Evans’ men may need the only opportunity to beat Leyton Orient’s scrappy crop, who aren’t making a huge splash and aren’t struggling to perform in front of their own fans.

Two sides level on 15 points will face off when Peterborough United play host to Blackpool in Tuesday’s Ligue 1 match.

The Posh are looking to bounce back from an away loss against Wycombe Wanderers, while the Mandarins are looking for a response after losing their last two matches.

We say: Peterborough United 2-1 Blackpool

The last nine competitive meetings between the two sides have produced a winner and we think Peterborough can continue that trend by making the most of home advantage to condemn Blackpool to a third straight defeat.

The hopes of promotion Stevenage are disposed to receive the struggling Cambridge United at Lamex Stadium on Tuesday in their 12th First League match of the season.

The hosts are in 10th place with 17 points and are just a point off sixth Huddersfield Townwho occupy the last place in the promotion play-offs in the division, while the visitors are penultimate in 23rd place with four points from 10 games.

We say: Stevenage 1-0 Cambridge United

Although Cambridge managed to pick up their first win of the season, they have struggled for results away from home and it is hard to see them winning two games in a row.

Stevenage also have an excellent defensive record and if they open the scoring on Tuesday it would not be surprising if they hold on to the lead.

Two sides at opposite ends of the League One table will meet at Edgeley Park on Tuesday night when Stockport County hosts Northampton Town.

The hosts are ninth in the division with 17 points from 10 games, while the visitors are 19th in the standings with 11 points from their first 10 games.

We say: Stockport County 2-1 Northampton Town

Stockport’s form may have dipped slightly in this game, while Northampton’s has improved, but the home side, with home advantage, should still be strong enough to secure victory here.

Both Wigan Athletic and Mansfield Town will be hoping to bounce back quickly from the defeats when they face each other at the DW Stadium in League One on Tuesday night.

The hosts lost 2-0 to Cambridge United on Saturday, while the visitors suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Stevenage on the same day.

We say: Wigan Athletic 1-1 Mansfield Town

Wigan are a solid defensive side and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them hold out for another goalless draw on Tuesday night. However, Mansfield are one of the best attacking sides in the league and we feel that could affect the game, although we predict a draw in the end.

Wrexham welcome fellow promotion hopefuls Huddersfield Town in Tuesday’s League One clash at the Racecourse Ground.

The Red Dragons are second in the First League tablewhile the Terriers are five points behind in sixth position.

We say: Wrexham 2-1 Huddersfield Town

The two sides are set to face each other for the first time since Huddersfield recorded a narrow away win in May 2005.

However, we don’t expect Huddersfield to repeat that result as we believe Wrexham will continue their dominant form at home to maintain their 100% record at the Racecourse Ground this season.
