Travelers can use their Virginia mobile ID (MID) at over 230 airport checkpoints in the United States.
Virginia, USA – Virginia’s digital driving licenses have already been adopted a form of airport identity card across the country, TSA Security Administration (TSA) has announced.
Travelers can use their mobile identifier on their Virginia (MID) using a smartphone of over 230 airport control points in the United States with readers of Digital ID.
Virginia Mid is a digital driver’s license or identification number stored secure in the Virginia Mobile ID app on mobile devices.
At airports, readers of Digital ID are filmed on the person in real time and compare their face to the ID. He also checks that the person has a travel ticket that day. This convenience allows travelers to avoid taking out a physical identification number and upload.
However, TSA employees still advise passengers to carry an acceptable ID card as a card or passport.
To get Virginia in the middle, Virginians must have a valid driver’s license and smartphone to download the Virginia Mobile ID from Google Play or Apple Store.
