By james art NEW YORK (TNND) — Former President Donald Trump holds a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday.
Election Day is just over a week away and both campaigns end before November 5th.
It will be Trump’s “hometown rally” and he plans to deliver his closing remarks for his 2024 campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris.
JD Vance will also speak at the rally.
In promoting the rally, the Trump campaign said: “President Trump’s message to New York is simple and builds on his winning record: If you want to return to the strongest economy in over 60 years, rising wages, quality jobs, strong borders and safer neighborhoods, then vote for the Trump-Vance ticket.”
Madison Square Garden has not been used for campaign rallies since Alabama Governor George Wallace, but recently hosted both the 1976, 1980 and 1992 Democratic National Conventions and the 2004 Republican National Convention .
Some notable attendees included former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, political commentator Tucker Carlson, and former Democratic presidential candidate turned Republican Tulsi Gabbard.
This is Trump’s second rally in New York state.
Harris plans to make his closing remarks at the Ellipse in Washington on Tuesday.
According to CNN, Harris approached his speech like a prosecutor: laying out the evidence against Trump and taking his case to a “jury” — the voters.
