A trailer crashed into a bridge in the province of Sancti Spiritus, as a result of which the container it was carrying was deformed by the force of the impact and fell onto the road.
The accident was reported in the Facebook group “ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!” by user Hander Rodríguez del Río, who thinks the driver must be inexperienced on this route because he ignored the detour before the truck bridge.
The height of this bridge, located in the municipality of Jatibonico, is four meters, according to the road signs. However, in the comments to the post, several Cuban drivers claimed that it decreased due to additional layers of asphalt.
Last August, the rear containers of a cargo truck were left unroofed after a collision with the Calabazar Bridge in Havana, without any loss of life.
The Howo truck passes under the Calabazar bridge and misjudges the clearance, causing its roof to collapse and fall next to a small horse that was parked there.
Last year, a container hauling a trailer that crashed into a bridge in the province of Sancti Spiritus was left deformed after the heavy impact.
