The Trenton School District has announced plans for its annual Fall Band and Color Guard Banquet, set for November 7 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in the high school auditorium and is intended to celebrate the band and color guard’s successful season.
Families of band members are encouraged to contribute to the event by bringing a large pizza each, while families of color guard members are asked to bring fruit with dip or dessert. For any specific dietary needs, families should place appropriate items directly on their tables, such as gluten-free pizzas.
Anthony Webb, Director of Bands for the Trenton School District and Northwest District representative of the Missouri Association of Small Band Directors, highlighted the accomplishments of the band and guards this year, describing their season as historic. The coming weeks will be busy for some of the band members, with more information to come.
Webb also shared that several students from Trenton High School and Trenton Middle School auditioned for the All-District Band, with two high school students securing spots:
- Caleb Campbell: 8th Chair Trombone, making him eligible to audition for All-State
- Brody Burgess: 7th Chair in High School Concert Band
Additionally, middle school students who auditioned include:
- Mariah Elder: 14th chair clarinet
- Serena Burkhead: 16th chair clarinet
- Hayden Belwell: Trumpet on 9th chair
- A golden chance: Honorary Trombone
- Amaya White: Honorable Mention Baritone
The Nov. 7 banquet will recognize the hard work and dedication of these students and the entire Guardsmen orchestra and teams.
