Trenton Brunch aims to galvanize artists and entrepreneurs – nj.com

Crown Tyquan Benton designer wants to help Trenton artists and entreprees join the city’s resources to grow and maintain their business.

So he organized an event called “Trenton Creatives Networking Brunch” to do just that.

The free event will be held on Saturday, February 1, from noon to 16:00, in much better studios, 125 S. Warren St., in Trenton.

“We will talk about grants and access to funding and support. We will discuss how to get support for artists and businesses in the city. We will also talk about how we can cooperate better as artists and residents in the city, “says Benton, a special project manager for the Social Justice Organization based in Trenton, Ilesles.

“So, I think everyone who has a business within the arts … This would definitely be useful for them.”

Benton said that attendees will meet the Trenton Art Plan in the city, part of the City Creek to Canal Creative District initiative to develop, emphasize and support the scene of arts and culture in the city center.

He said Trenton -based Skil Lit Café restaurant will take care of the event, which will include raffles, gifts, games, music and local suppliers. Participants will also have the opportunity to make their head from a photographer.

“This event is something like putting the medicine in the candy,” said Quayshaun Williams, the owner of much better studios. “This is a free event sponsored by the islands, and we strive to galvanize the community to come and learn about all the different initiatives, information and resources available to them.”
