Hialeah, FLA. – The owner of South Florida’s distracted pets has never refused to reunite with his lost dog.
The beloved fluff, which has not been seen for months, has been found in Texas.
Mia is a 13-year-old Shih Tzu and longtime member of the Boro family.
It’s been 74 days since Mia was home. She disappeared from her neighborhood Hyalea on December 15, after she got out at the front door.
“We always try to find her, to call people, we had all sorts of things, but we miss it completely, we miss her madness,” said the owner Ines Boro. “I posted it to my friends, I told everyone, even my daughter, who lives in Arizona.”
Just a few days ago, a text from a shelter in Konro, Texas, a city of more than 1,200 miles, just outside Houston, where someone conveyed the news that they had found Mia walking alone.
“She sent me photos, we were talking to me, then I realized it was real,” Boro said. “And I could just tell her face that this was her.”
Mia will return to her owners on Thursday, which should lead to emotional paw collection, which will have queues to wave out of pleasure.
