Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – The Sports Committee in the Topeca area has issued its first grants.
TASC was formed to help eliminate financial barriers, prevented young people from participating in sports. Their first success was formed on Wednesday, as they presented grants to three different groups: the only reason, Patrice Haley and the Santa Faces High School Fun.
“It really helps us get mats so that we can actually train all year round, because during the season of struggle we obviously lose these mats, so this will allow us to practice our stunning safely and be able to distinguish in further “, Santa Fe Trail Trail Kaitlyn Ball cheerleaders and Samantha Spoonemore explained.
“Our motto has always been,” putting sneakers on their feet and smiling at their faces, “Jerry Hudgins said for the sole reason. “So, it is very important that they can make children have better self-esteem and smile on their face, knowing that they can participate like all other children.”
Among the grants, TASC has distributed $ 2900, which will maintain the distributions of the shoes, cover the price of new gymnastic mats and funding for athletic scholarships.
