Top 10 Form continues for Malcolm Stewart in Glendale Triple Crown – General News on Motorcycles

Stewart started the day strongly in qualification, placing his factory edition of Husqvarna FC 450 in sixth place in combination times.

The 32-year-old took a pair of strong start in the initial competitions, crossing the Holeshot line in P2 in both cases. He finished the first of three finals in the P7, but abuses in the other two competitions around an increasingly demanding technical chain saw him cross the line with two P11 ends.

When the results were understood, Stewart wrapped Glendale on the 10th in general – his fourth top 10 score of the series so far – and now sits in ninth place in the 450SX standings, when the championship heads to his home circle in Tampa, Florida, next Saturday.

“Glendale always treated me well and I had a really good qualification session,” ” Reflected Stewart. “I went to a great start to the first race and just tried to hang myself with these guys, but I was stirring back and finished seventh. I have another start in the second final, but it was more difficult for me. The intensity was really high and if you don’t feel it, things can happen really fast. I didn’t get the best start on the latter, but I tried to get through the package before I got off. I came back and just tried to save what I could, so I finished 11th. I learned a lot in this race and bring this energy to my home in Tampa – let’s get this 27 back to the podium. “
