Obituary

Tony was born and raised in Wilmington, California, where he has been staying all his life.

Tony has now reunited with his beautiful wife, Nadezhda N. Escuel, after 70 wonderful years of marriage.

Tony survived his children, Katie Escuvel Reyes, Anthony (Marina) Escuel, Nancy (Skip) Patrick and Cindy Gimari; grandchildren, Efren Reyes, Angelina (Tauni) Escuel, Amanda Escuel, Brian Patrick, Sean (Taylor) Patrick, Kalen, Christie and Katie Gimari; 10 great -grandchildren and 1 great -grandson.

Tony had died in advance from his parents Juan and Benita Escuvel; Four brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Paul Jr. and Mario Reyes; and son -in -law, Willie Gimari and Paul H. Reyes.

Tony was a veteran of the United States Army and the original member of Wilmington’s road kings. He also played a baseball for a ban on Park Posse. He has worked for the port line of the port belt, where he retired after 44 years.

Tony had numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who adored him, especially on Monday and Wednesday visits.

Tony was a loving father, grandfather, great -grandfather and great -grandfather. Tony was a great mentor to his family with a lot of wisdom and great stories. He was our “rock” and will really be missed forever.

Services to be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the funeral center of the coast in Lomita from 9: 00-10:00 in the morning, followed by a liturgy at St. Margaret Maria in Lomita at 11:00 h.

Funeral immediately afterwards at the Wilmington Cemetery.
