Tommy Robinson pleads guilty to contempt of court – Irvine Times

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, admitted breaching a High Court order made in 2021 when he appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday.

Those found in contempt of court can be jailed for up to two years, fined or both.

The attorney general issued two contempt motions against Robinson earlier this year, alleging that he “knowingly” violated the order on multiple occasions.

The 41-year-old appeared in the dock after his arrest on Friday wearing a gray suit and waistcoat with no tie.

At the start of the hearing Aidan Eardley KC, for the Attorney General, said a “resolution” had been reached to the charges and read them to the court.

Asked by Judge Johnson if he accepted he had committed the offences, Robinson nodded and then replied yes.

The hearing continues.
