University student Rodrik Ekechi hugged a new fitness goal to escape from London to Birmingham after one -month training.
The 22-year-old says on his page that he has been overweight for most of his life and, as a result, has dealt with daily problems while experiencing a period of harassment in high school.
He said, “I was tired of living with these problems and I was just tired of being tired and one day I just pressed myself and said it would change, whatever happens. Begins today. ”

At the age of 19 and 20, he documented his running from Enfield to Crown, and after receiving a personal message from a supporter, Rodrik decided it was time to make “something different” and came up with the idea of escaping Birmingham.
He embarked on the challenge with his supporter Yuri Carvalho, 31, and filmed and installed a cinematographic piece, which received over two million views in Tiktok.
He said, “It was the hardest thing I ever did in my life, so I was quite scared, but I said, just go on.”
The trip began from London Yuston, through Luton, Milton Keynes and Coventry, the couple used torches to help visibility in the dark and struggled with a mental battle to give up or continue.
Ekechi said, “We had to try to use less energy and think tactically, it’s not about how fast we would go, but we just have to get there.
“At the end of this there was a feeling you couldn’t explain, but I felt so good that it was the craziest thing I did in my life.”
He hopes to inspire others to achieve their fitness goals and use the same mentality to improve their overall well -being.
During the summer season, he plans to take a bigger challenge to run from London to another country in Europe.
