MADISON – Celebrate Madison 2024 is here! The free family fun event at Toyota Field will be held on Thursday evening. Gates open at 6 p.m

“This year’s celebration promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with community spirit, local pride and fun,” said Madison Chamber of Commerce President Michelle Epling. “Celebrate Madison is a special event for our community, showcasing the strength and unity that define Madison.”

The Madison Chamber with Madison Mayor Paul Finley created the event three years ago as a fun and informative way to present the mayor’s address while showcasing what makes Madison great. Much emphasis in past events has been placed on the representation of many of the city’s school organizations. Madison City Schools continue to be one of the best school districts in the state and nation, a major reason for Madison’s growth.

Organizers, represented by Metta, say Celebrate Madison will feature a range of activities. The first 300 guests will receive a free hot dog, soda and ice cream – an extra treat to kick off the festivities.

Mayor Paul Finley will share the latest achievements, projects and updates about Madison. He is expected to submit a new application for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.

At Celebrate Madison, residents can shop local at the Vendor Showcase along the concourse and explore a diverse range of goods and services from local businesses. Audiences can expect plenty of surprises, including live music, appearances by actors and actresses from the Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy, great photo opportunities and face painting.

Signalink, a military family sponsor of the event, will recognize a deserving local military family for their service and dedication. “As a veteran-owned business, Signalink is proud to sponsor Celebrate Madison’s Military Family,” said Signalink owners Steve and Alice Lessman. “We understand the sacrifice not only of service members, but also of their families.”

“That’s why we consider it a privilege to celebrate and support them. Their commitment to our country, city and community deserves recognition and we are happy to play a part in that,” Lessmanns added.

“We are thrilled to partner with Signalink to honor our military families and celebrate our city’s remarkable achievements,” Epling said.

A stunning fireworks display will end the evening. Huntsville Utilities is the sponsor. The Madison Chamber believes it’s the perfect way to end a night of celebration and community spirit.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors, partners and community members whose support makes this event possible, reinforcing our collective commitment to the vibrancy of our community,” Epling said.
