In weeks, â„–24 Florida, female basketball (18-4, 8-2) showed why it has the second best crime in the country.

After taking care of the Boston College Business, FSU returned home to dominate Wake Forest (8-14, 1-11), 97-68, on Sunday during the night “Paint It Pink” in front of 2139 fans at Donald L. Tucker Center.

FSU won five Direct ACC matches and moved to the four in the standings.

The Seminols led the whole game. They started the first quarter with a comfortable lead of 20-4 and led with 27-13 aimed at the second.

“Wake is a good defense team. They like to slow down the pace,” FSU coach Brooke Brooke said.

“They created a lot of problems after years with their protection. We have put it as a goal and key to the game to play our pace.”

Three Seminols have 20-point performances

Three players scored at least 20 points and the leading time was Tayina Latson.

Although he only made 8 out of 23 shots, the best goal scorer of the country ended with 25 points and five assists. She also shot 8-8 of the free throws line.

O’Maria Gordon was 9 out of 16 of the pitch and 3 for 5 back and finished with 22 points.

In their sixth start Sydney Bowles added 20 points, a high season for the A&M Texas transfer.

Makayla Timpson provided her 13th double double this season with 12 points and 14 boards. She also had three blocks at the protective end.

“It was one of our goals in the off-season. It was to bring more depth and only with the growth of players who returned and added these four new players, we became more in-depth,” Wicoff said.

“We are more experienced and I think this better team this year just takes a lot of steps, so it’s really nice and it makes it difficult for my work to make sure all these girls get the opportunities they have won. “

What Next For FSU Basketball

Seminoles’ next trip will be to Charlotteville, where they will face Virginia Cavaliers (12-11, 4-7) on Thursday at 7 pm at John Paul Jones Arena.

FSU will return to the center of Tucker on Sunday to take No. 16 North Carolina (17-4, 9-1) at 14:00
