Three arrested after deputy -engaged firing in West Baton – WBRZ

Port Allen – Three people were arrested for their participation in a firing affiliated in the parish of West Baton Rouge parish on Sunday, according to West Baton Rouge’s sheriff’s office.

WBRSO arrested Javen Edwards, 17, Eugene George Jr., 21 and Terrall Davis, 19, for their participation in the shooting.

According to WBRSO, Deputy has tried to withdraw a Gremillion Road suspected vehicle after receiving shots launched when calling nOrth River Road. A passenger escaped with a rifle and a gun, causing the officer to shoot a suspect who received a life -threatening injury. Authorities said the driver of the vehicle had escaped, but was soon caught and the third resident of the vehicle was removed at the scene.

Edwards was reserved for a first -degree murder attempt, as well as for the illegal possession of a stolen firearm, illegal possession of a pistol from a minor, and disposing of a firearm when prohibited.

George was booked for flight by an officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless operation of a vehicle, and disposal of firearms when prohibited. Davis was reserved for the illegal possession of the machine gun and an aggravated attack with a firearm.

The investigation is ongoing as investigators continue to process evidence, WBRSO said. In addition, WBRSO will launch and an officer is involved in a shot of critical incidents that will include body frames, a 911 call audio and communication.
