Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – On Tuesday, February 25th, thousands of students gathered for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympiad of United ISD.
It is usually held at the Student Activity Center (SAC), this year’s event was held at Sames Auto Arena to launch the autumn edition of the Games.
The competitions will continue throughout the week with a full schedule of events, as the organizers say this is a special time of the year.
“It’s just a great event and a great experience for all our students. We make sure that they have experience in doing the race, in throwing softball and so many other events that take place, “said the coordinator of the special education of UISD Miguel Chavez.
A total of 75 campuses participated in today’s ceremony, including UISD schools, harmony, LISD and participants from the neighboring counties.
