A pair of Prairieville bought the former Street Street Shing building for $ 850,000 and plans to open second place from their Ramen restaurant there.
SD Perkins Property LLC bought the building of 3669 government St. In a deal that closed on Wednesday. The seller was Freehold Inc. by Baton Rouge.
Shi Jian Zheng and Stacy Chen are the members of SD Perkins. The couple owns Darum Ramen in Prairieville, who has been involved in a business of June 2023.
Chen said the plan is to open second place in the middle of the city, which will sell ramen, Asian and Chinese dishes, cocktails and beans tea. It will take 8 months to build the space, she said.
Chen said he was a Mirrors of Baton Rouge for second place in Daruma. She bought the government street because she liked enough parking and a good location.
“I see there are a few restaurants around that are quite fantastic and have good food,” she said.
About 20 people will work in Daruma, which will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
