The smallest community in South Dakota has only three inhabitants and is located about 4 hours from the Siu Falls subway.
Travel all around the state of Mount Rushmore and you will find many small cities at every corner of the map. But the largest settlement in the whole country is the Eastern River and not too far from the border of North Dakota.

So where is the smallest city in all of South Dakota?

This will be the small town of Hilsvu, in MacPherson County. In the photo above you can see the lonely main street of the city.
Believe it or not, HillsView has been around for a long time. It was first included in 1887 and at one point (in the 1930s) there was a population of about 100 people.
HillsView is named because of the high elevation of the city and the place among the hilly northern part of the East River, South Dakota.

Some of the other small cities in South Dakota are lily (population 4), farmer (population 10) and green grass (population 22).
To get to HillsView from the Sioux Falls subway, just get I-29 to the north and head to Watertown. Shortly after you pass it, take the Waverly exit by heading west. Check out the card below for a better idea where HillsView is and how to get there.
