This Baton Rouge business is judged because of the alleged software piracy – a bigger Baton Rouge report

Grabince Stone, a Baton Rouge stones and a cabinet, is facing a global process by a global software company for software piracy allegations.

Delaware -based Intelligence for the production of a hexagonA leader in computer design and production technology filed a complaint to the Baton Rouge Federal Court on January 24th. The corporation claims that Grabince has committed “deliberate and apparent copyright infringement” by illegally copied and using unlicensed copies of his AlphaCam SoftwareS

AlphaCam is a computer design and manufacture software used mainly in the routing and cutting industry to help the work of computer digital control-or CNC-maharia. Such machines are used by businesses such as Grabince to achieve accurate, complex cuts with precision level, unattainable by hand.

Hexagon has security systems to detect unauthorized copies of its software, and in February 2022, these observation tools found that Grabince used two illegal copies of Alphacam, according to the complaint.

The court claims that Grabince and two of their agents or employees – Edward Sutherland and one person not stated in the complaint – have also taken two unlicensed copies of Alphacam without paying for the necessary licenses. The value of the two unlicensed copies is $ 233,090.

Hexagon claims that Grabince deliberately violated copyright laws and the terms of his license agreement on the end user, a contract with which software users must agree before installation. Hexagon says he has notified Grabince of the violation and has asked to discontinue his illegal use of Alphacam to no avail.

Hexagon is looking for compensation for compensation forbidding Grabince from using unlicensed software, as well as monetary damage, additional sanctions and restoration of legal fees. If the court manages in favor of Hexagon, Grabince can be on line for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Grabince representatives had not responded to requests for comment before the deadline for publication this morning.
