New castle, del. – A Wilmington man was arrested on weapons charges on Tuesday night after police discovered a stolen, loaded gun at his vehicle during traffic stopping, authorities said.

The 21 -year -old Stefan White was withdrawn by the members of the special group of the governor of the New Castle County around 22:20 at New Castle Avenue after officers noticed his Volkswagen Jetta had a fictitious temporary label, police said. White, who failed to provide identification, was removed after the authorities found that his driver’s license had been stopped and the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.

During the search for the inventory before the vehicle towed, the detectives found a hidden, loaded gun under the driver’s seat. A check -up revealed that firearms were reported stolen in Newark in March 2023.

White, a convicted criminal, is forbidden to own firearms and ammunition. He was transported to troops 2, charged with numerous crimes and was appointed to the Court of Justice 11.

He is committed to Howard R. Young’s correctional institution in a $ 23,500 cash bond.
