West Los Angeles College outperformed Glendale Community College in almost every statistical category except the one that matters most. The Wildcats had a tough time containing the Vaqueros and fell by a final score of 44-20.
West Los Angeles outgained Glendale in total yards (379-286), passing yards (228-178), rushing yards (151-108), total offense (72-47), first downs (20-18 ) and time of possession (40:58-19:02).
But Glendale was able to take advantage of two West LA turnovers and hit a quick drive to score on offense.
The Wildcats trailed 17-6 with 3:03 left in the second and trailed 33-6 late in the third quarter.
Jackson Dadich threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Gino O’Neal to get the Wildcats on the board. West LA closed the game with a pair of late TDs by Dadich. He connected with Makyi Douglas for a 5-yard touchdown and threw a 34-yarder to Jason Robinson as time expired.
Dadic completed 17 of 30 passes for 228 yards and 3 TDs. Bryant Collins led West Los Angeles on the ground with 19 carries for 66 yards.
Defensively, Jason Robinson led the Wildcats with 7 tackles. Coran Turner and Conan Hinckley were credited with sacks.
West LA fell to 2-3 overall. The Wildcats have a bye next week and return to action on Oct. 19 when they host Chaffey College in the American Metro League opener. The start is scheduled for 1 p.m
