The Weeknd releases a new album and announces a tour at a stadium in North America – ABC News

Los Angeles – Fresh off released a new Horry Up Tomorrow album, The Weeknd has announced a huge tour at a stadium in North America – not an easy feat for modern solo act and more reaffirming its popularity.

The Tour “After the Dawn” begins on May 9 at Phoenix at the State Farm Stadium and ends in San Antonio on September 3 in the Alamodoma.

The tour will also hit Detroit; Chicago; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Minneapolis; Denver; Inglewood, California; Las Vegas; Santa Clarita, California; Seattle, Vancouver, Canada; Edmonton, Canada; Montreal; Toronto; Philadelphia; Landor, Maryland; Nashville, Tennessee; Miami; Atlanta; Orlando, Florida; Arlington, Texas and Houston.

It will join the rapper of Atlanta Playboi Carti and Mike Dean.

Tickets can be purchased through the artist’s pre -sales, which will begin on Wednesday at 10 am local time and will continue until Thursday at 9 am local time. The total sale will start on February 7 at 10 am local time via theweeknd.com/tour.

“Horry Up Tomorrow” is the last album in Weeknd’s record trilogy, which began with 2020 “After Hours” and “Dawn FM of 2022”. It includes a number of All-Star collaborations, including the future of “Enjoy the Show”, Anita of Sao Paulo and Lana del Ray on The Abyss.

The album was at least partially inspired by Seth in Ingelwood, the California stadium in Sophie just outside Los Angeles in 2022, where born musician Avel Tessfay lost his voice. He described the moment as the beginning of a breakdown. He will return to the site for two nights in June.
