38-year-old Daniel van Dyke is now facing two crimes regarding the death of 58-year-old Roy Stakhaus.
Virginia Beach, Washington – a Virginia Beach judge has denied guaranteeing after prosecutors claim to have killed his stepmother in a heated food dispute.
38-year-old Daniel van Dyke claims he told investigators that he had “fantasized” about killing his stepmother, 58-year-old Roy Stakhaus, many times in his life.
According to Virginia Police, the employees received 911 call for help in the 1300 block of Greillyin Drive shortly after 4:15 pm Tuesday. When they arrived, investigators said they had found the mother of the suspect and the wife of the victim Doris Stakhaus, in the property.
Doris told police that her son was living with the couple in their house. She said the two men had fallen into a heated dispute about food, and Van Dyke went to his bedroom, took a knife and began to stab the swarm repeatedly in the back.
According to the criminal complaint, Van Dyke then held a swarm on the ground until he died.
Investigators immediately arrested Van Dyke, who supposedly admitted that he had killed his stepmother.
Van Dyke is now facing a first -degree murder and stabbing during a crime.
