The Ursuli Academy leads four Catholic high schools from the Diocese of Wilmington in the Diaa Girls Basketball Tournament – the dialog box

Four Catholic schools will compete for the Diaa Girls National Basketball Championship, beginning on February 24, when Archmere travels to Dover for the first round. The 24 teams and their seeds were announced on February 21st.

The top eight seeds have won the first round bye, including three Catholic schools. Ursulin, the protective state champion, is the fifth seed. St. Elizabeth is No. 7 and Padua is eighth seed. Archmere was the last team to win a place, and 24th-Vygram Auks will fight No. 9 Dover in the State’s capital on February 24 at 6:00 pm

Monday 24 February

No. 24 Archmere (10-10) in No. 9 Dover (12-8), 18:00 Aux and Lady’s senators did not meet this season. Archmere finished 10-10, bounced after starting 2-7. Auks has wins over tournament teams St. Georges, Middletown and Conrad and close losses for four others. Bridget Maloy leads Archmer’s crime, with the support of Anaa Mungin and others.

Dover enters the game, which has carried a winning series of seven games, including victories over the Cape Henlopene tournament, Smirna, Conrad, as well as a victory at the Fourth Family Seyford earlier in the season. Sarah Ziona Benson is their goal scorer.

Winner at Archmere-Dover in No. 8 Padua (16-4), 18:00S The pandas had a fantastic season, with three of their four losses coming to St. Elizabeth (from seven points combined) and Ursulin, and the other to a team of the Garnet Valley (Pa.), Which entered the weekend 24-1. These include several players who can take the evaluative reins, including Abby Grillo, Lily Dimarko, Sofia Buffon and Kay Dyuranva. Padua also has a clear advantage of the home court in his gym.

Padua has road victories against Dover and Archmer this season.
