The United States is intensifying the borderline presence with the unfolding of the National Guard of Texas in Larendo – Reform Austin

More than 300 soldiers of the National Guard of Texas are ready to unfold in Larendo next month to strengthen security at the US-Mexiko border, border patrol officials have confirmed. Deployment is part of a new agreement between US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the National Guard of Texas, which allows the elected members to assist in the implementation of immigration in accordance with the rules of Title 8. This involves questioning persons about their immigration status and performing Arrests – although always under the supervision of the border patrol, as originally reported by the border report.

Title 8 of the US Code establishes the legal framework for the laws of immigration and nationality in the United States, regulating visas, deportation, asylum and penalties for illegal entry. In the context of the unfolding of the National Guard of Texas, he provides appointed power staff to apply laws on immigration, including the questioning of individuals about their legal status and arrests for violations. However, these troops of the National Guard can only exercise this body under the direct supervision of US customs and border defense (CBP), ensuring that the implementation is aligned with federal immigration policies.

The decision to deploy additional troops comes against the background of escalating violence across the border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. On February 3, numerous incidents were reported with firing near an international bridge, causing concerns about travelers between the two cities. Following these incidents, authorities arrested Ricardo Gonzalez, known as El Ricky, a supposed member of the cartel. Due to the resulting violence, the US Consulate in Nuevo Laredo announced its closure, citing an emergency in the city, as CBS News reports.

In response, web Martin Qualar County sheriff issued a public warning, calling on US citizens to be cautioned when visiting Mexico. Meanwhile, the Lone Star operation, the Texas Border Security Initiative, has intensified application in the region, with additional units of the National Guard and DPS Troopers near Laredo College and international crossings to discourage potential threats.

The deployment of troops of the National Guard of Texas emphasizes the constant efforts to strengthen the borderline security against the background of increasing concerns about the implementation of immigration and escalation of violence in northern Mexico. While the enlarged body under Title 8 aims to improve the law enforcement capabilities, the presence of these troops remains under strict CBP supervision in order to ensure compliance with federal provisions. As tensions continue in Nuevo Laredo, US officials continue to follow the situation closely, strengthening security measures to protect both border communities and those traveling between the two countries.
