The South Carolina Public Health Department offers free HIV, STD testing this Friday – WRDW

August, Georgia (WRDW/WAGT) – officials from the Ministry of Public Health report that while Afro -American make up just over a quarter of the South Carolina population, they make up almost 2/3 cases of HIV and more than half of new Cases are reported among black patients.

In order to continue to fight this epidemic, officials acknowledge the National Awareness Day for HIV/AIDS on Friday.

In recognition of the day, they offer free HIV or STD tests in clinics in the state.

Here are the clinics offering the testing in CSRA:

• Aiken County: 222 Beopher Street, Aken Health Department.
• Bamberg County: 50 Dickinson Street extension, Bamberg County Health Department.
• Barnuel County: 11015 Ellenton Streetheway 278, Barnwell County Health Department.
• Edgefield County: 21 Star Road, Health Department of Edgefield County.
• Orangeburg County: 1550 Carolina Avenue, OrangeBurg County Health Department, or, 8423A Old State Road, Holly Home Health Services.
