The South Carolina man arrested on drugs in Habersham – now Habersham

A man from South Carolina is faced with drugs and weapons here in North Georgia, according to GBI.

The 30 -year -old Samuel Devan Jones was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine, possessing a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal after investigating the traffic in Habercham on Wednesday, January 29.

Last month, Georgia’s State Patrol (GSP) began stopping the Jones traffic to violate GA 365 to the north. During the search of the vehicle, authorities claim that GSP has discovered 4.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and firearms inside Jones. Jones, the only resident of the car, was arrested on the spot.

He was taken to the Habersham County Prison.

The investigation included GSP, the Sheriff’s office of Haberus and Ardeo County. It remains active and continues.
