After officially canceling SITW for 2025, employees say that in the next few months, urban departments in Virginia Beach will be brain on ways to attract visitors.
Virginia Beach, Washington – “Something in the Water” will not return to the shore of the ocean this spring.
Officials in the city of Virginia Beach have issued a letter of termination to the organizers of the festival, officially terminating their agreement this year.
The Virginia Beach Municipal Council hoped to see the return of The Something in the Water Music Festival this April, but now that city authorities have completed their contract, they are looking forward to what it can fill in.

The organizers of something in the water missed their extended period to launch a ticket for sale, violating their agreement with the city. Despite violation of the contract for the contract and the deadline, the organizers of the festival again failed to fulfill the necessary conditions.
“I think the city has done everything possible to lean back to extend the deadlines,” said the mayor Rosemary Wilson.
Tiffany Russell of the city of Virginia Beach says the clock is already ticking to create an event with crowds by April 26 and 27, the dates of the already set festival.
“Sitw historically has such value for our city and we certainly want to make sure that in the future there are other opportunities to work with the festival,” Russell said.
Russell says that over the next few months, urban departments in Virginia Beach will consider ways to attract visitors.
While the city authorities have not yet confirmed specific plans, they have said that potential options are likely to be considered during the upcoming meeting of the Municipal Council.
City leaders also invite residents to share their ideas for the spring weekend.
Residents can contact the members of the City Council or to the city with their contribution. All council meetings allow residents to comment. These stakeholders can go online and register to talk at the next meeting.
