The founder of one of the largest real estate development companies in the country has died.
Craig Lloyd died Wednesday at the age of 76, according to a statement from Lloyd Companies – the business he helped build.
Lloy found the company with his wife Pat in 1972.
Since then, the Sioux Falls-based business has become one of the largest construction and property management companies in the region.
Sioux Falls Mayor Paul Tenhak said Lloyd’s contribution goes beyond the buildings he had developed by adding “we lost a giant”.
Craig Lloyd’s contribution to Siu Falls is obvious in very visible ways, but it is the unprecedented impact that really defined it. He touched so many lives that it was difficult to put in words what he meant in this city. We lost a giant. Prayers for his family as we celebrate him. pic.twitter.com/rp5xn6nias
