The members of the Sikh Temple in the Internal Empire and Covina gathered to prepare and distribute more than 200 free dishes of victims of Ethan’s fire.

The members of the Sikhist temple of Riverside in the Yurupa Valley and the Sikh community Gourdra in Covina gathered on Thursday, February 6, in Covina, to cook and pack food before being taken to Altadan.

Wild fire, which destroyed thousands of homes in Pasadena and Altadan, was one of several large flames that burned in January.

Volunteers cooked meals like rice and chickpeas, packed it in foam boxes and then inside the cardboard boxes for distribution.

“During disasters, everyone wants to help, and the Sikhist communities want to return to their Americans during difficult times,” says Amar Singh, founder of Turbans 4 Australia, who helped organize the effort.
