The S. Carolina Football Stadium project is moving forward – a sports business journal

The Joint Bond Review Committee of South Carolina and the State Fiscal Reporting Authority gave approval on Tuesday to the next step in the efforts of the University of South Carolina for the renovation of the Williams-Brice Stadium. The approval enables the university to move forward with the schematic design and cost evaluation in order to return to the committees later this year to seek formal approval for the full scope and project costs. The university that hired Jeremiah Donati As a new athletic director in December, he also revealed that Populs was selected as an architect of the project after RFP, issued last November, and that the official transaction with the company for the architecture of sports places should be completed in the coming weeks.

The project will initially focus on the west side of the stadium after an annual consultation by Nations Group, a market survey and analysis of Elevate and financial modeling by USC employees. Additional improvements will also be made on the north side of the stadium where Gamecock students sit. The initial phase of the project includes first -class apartments of different sizes and the installation of club seats. USC also pursues development opportunities with mixed use around Williams-Brice; The revenues generated by this will be used to fund stadium improvements.
