Chilly Weather did not keep the music fans away from the Cypress Restaurant & Bar of Midtown Reno Reno, as a good crowd turned out to be the performers Skyler Lutes, Lizano and Pipe Down.
Skyler Lutes from San Diego, California. was on a winter tour, and his appearance on Renault was his last night before heading back to Sunnier Climes in the morning. The earlier dates of the tour included a complete group, but the final four shows – including its performance of Cypress – were stripped of acoustic playing with Skyler and his talented wife, Veronica. The talented duo sang and played acoustic guitars, putting a beautiful atmosphere to start the evening.
Next, it was Renault’s own Lisano, who played a fantastic set and immediately made the crowd move! Calling this show for throwing their hometown, Lizano, along with the night headliners, pipes down, will appear at the Winter Regge of Lake Tahoe next month.
“What can we say, the last few years have been such a crazy ride. We grew up, listening to all the incredible groups in Reggae’s rock scene, 3 years ago we had some opportunities with some promoters in our area to open up for a few national tour tours and things really just took off from there. Playing at the Tahoe Lake Festival for our 3rd time is quite unreal, groups such as rebels and expenditures had huge influences on our own sound to share the scene with the groups we looked at for our entire career is quite quite surreal.
Guitarist and lead vocalist Jay Hatchet loves to participate the audience while Robin Calarese of a lead guitar is skillful. The group also has a horn section that can melt the listener as an oil that includes Casey Smith of Trumpet and Mar Thompson on Trombone. Mitchell Makintosh on Bass delivered killer channels to the top of the funny presence on stage. And Jordan Vajoff on the drums captivates you with his driving force and delivery of choice. This group is a joy to watch live. They definitely want to make you move!
My first time I saw a pipe down and they rounded up the evening so well. Based on North Lake Tahoe and is currently on tour, it is clear to see how difficult this group worked there is clarified by their smooth, tight and precision musical art. The harmony was completely in place and a drummer who kept the rhythm while he was mesmerizing to watch. They expressed how much excitement from their upcoming Tahoe appearance at the Winter Rega Festival of Lake Tahoe this coming month.
I look forward to seeing all these groups again. Both Lizano and Pipe Down play Tahoe Winter Reggae Fest in February, which is held at South Lake Tahoe.
