The Planning Commission approves the resonance for a new entertainment complex – WWAY NEWSChannel 3

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) – The Wilmington Planning Commission brought a proposed entertainment complex one step closer to the start of construction.

The Commission unanimously approves the resonance of more than 6 acres of land along the Oleander Drive from a commercial business area to a regional business area, which will allow the construction of the large main facility.

The proposed complex of 40,000+ square feet will include arcade, bowling alley, six tournament and restaurant and bar.

The project manager David Edmunds said he believed the project would receive additional approval from the Municipal Council.

“Feel confident we have to get it because at the same time they look at it, they understand the same way everyone talked about it tonight, it’s a great use for the property and it really helps the city, not Only Oleander Drive and this area, but the city generally needs some more fun, “Edmonds said.

The Wilmington City Council is likely to vote on the project next month.

If approved, Edmonds said construction could start this summer and the complex could be completed by the spring of next year.
