The pedestrian hit by the Batton Rouge police patrol vehicle confirms BRPD chief – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – A pedestrian was hit by a police patrol in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, February 18, confirmed Batton Ruzhi Police Chief Thomas Morse.

According to officials, the incident happened at about 6:30 pm on Florida Boulevard near Avenue Kenwood.

The Chief Morse said that the participating officer had stopped traffic and did not see the pedestrians on the side of the road. The boss added that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothes.

The officials said the person who was struck was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The police chief said the person had injuries, but was expected to be fine.
