The North Korean leader Kim inspects the nuclear facility as Pyongyang presses the Trump administration – Las Vegas Sun

Seoul, South Korea – the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has checked a facility that produces nuclear materials and called for the country’s nuclear power to strengthen the state media on Wednesday as the North seems to increase the pressure on the United States after the US President has taken office Donald Trump.

Kim’s visit implies a constant focus on the expansion of North Korea’s nuclear arsenal, although Trump said he was ready to talk to Kim again to revive diplomacy. Many analysts view North Korean weapons as part of a strategy for winning diplomatic negotiations with Washington that can lead to help and political discounts.

The official Korean central news agency has announced that Kim has visited the base for the production of nuclear materials and the Institute for Nuclear Weapons. This did not say where these facilities were, but the North Korean photos from Kim’s visit show that he probably visited a uranium enrichment facility, which he went to last September. This visit was North Korea’s first disclosure by Uranus enrichment facility, as in 2010 he showed a visit to American scientists.

During the last visit, Kim praised scientists and others for “producing nuclear weapons and for strengthening the country’s nuclear shield”.

On Sunday, North Korea said she had tested a cruise missile missile system, his third famous weapon was shown this year and promised the “most difficult” response to what he called the escalation of US and South Korea military training.

North Korea views US military training with South Korea as rehearsals of invasion, although Washington and Seoul have repeatedly said that their training is defensive. In recent years, the United States and South Korea have expanded their military exercises in response to North Korea’s advanced nuclear program.

The start of Trump’s second term increases the prospects for the revival of diplomacy between the United States and North Korea, as Trump met Kim three times during his first term. Trump-Kim’s diplomacy in 2018-19 fell apart from disputes over economic sanctions, led by the United States against North Korea.

During an interview with Fox News, aired Thursday, Trump called Kim “Smart Man” and “not religious jealousy.” Asked if he would contact Kim again, Trump replied, “I’ll do it, yes.”

Many experts say that Kim probably thinks there is a more negotiation force than in his larger round of diplomacy with Trump because of his country’s expanded nuclear arsenal and deepening military ties with Russia.
