Sioux Falls, SD (Kelo.com) – From February 3, the Sioux Area subway (SAM) will debut several upgrades to further improve public transport in Sioux Falls. These upgrades are part of the current “Sam Real” plan and have been carefully developed with the help of search and travel data, along with valuable reviews of the Community engagement efforts in 2024.

In early 2025, Sam’s superstructures included:
● New Airport service: Sam’s black route will move to the airport between 6am and 7pm now that Benson Road construction has been completed.
● Obar morning routes: purple, orange, green and red routes will start at 6am
● Schedule adjustments: The stop time will be adjusted to improve the efficiency of the fixed route on time. New graphics are available in and in print form on the bus depot of Sam Sam (120 E 11th ST).

“These exciting upgrades have been developed closely with the city and are intended to make more people try transit than ever,” says Emily Shapiro, Sioux Fall’s general manager on VIA. “VIA will continue its commitment to raise the public transport experience of Sioux Falls in 2025.” New changes follow impressive profits from riding and transit access through Sioux Falls in 2024 and are part of the VIA and the long -term vision of the City Development riding through the whole network. VIA will continue to focus on satisfying the community’s needs by current data analysis,
Public education and feedback collection.
