A minor driver suspected of driving while he was violated is facing numerous accusations of a Las Vegas northeast crash in mid -January, killing a cyclist, said the Nevada highway patrol.
The Nevada Highway Traffic Department has booked young people on five crimes and two charges of crimes, according to a message on Friday. The name of the minor was not provided in the press message.
The crash happened on January 15th at North Lamb Boulevard and Avenue East Stuart Avenue, when the Chrysler 300, run by a minor, travels north of Lamb at high speed, the highway patrol reported. Chrysler stopped by Mitsubishi Outlander, continued north and hit Chevy Tahoe, then went to the sidewalk and hit a cyclist, according to the press message.
The Chrysler 300 driver was running from a traffic stop by officers of the Sofia Police Department in Lamb and Charleston boulevards, the highway patrol reported.
41-year-old Luis Sanchez Ochoa was killed, police said. He died in place.
Crime accusations include a failure to stop the signal for a peace officer with death, DUI, leading to death, DUI with significant bodily harm, reckless driving that leads to death and reckless driving, leading to significant bodily harm.
The offense include driving without a valid certificate and expired registration.
