The most Mexican restaurant that opened in Sioux Falls – this month there are three others – includes the style of cooking in Durango.
Gorditas Durango is in the former Burger Time building of 2300 W. 12th St.
“We decided to open this business because we want to show you the true Mexican ranch food that is from the farm,” says primitive Fuertes, who owns the restaurant with his wife Carmen Ramirez.
This includes Gordas, which are made with mass and stuffed with meat.
The menu also includes dishes that are popular in El Salvador as Pupusi.
There are taco, burrito, cakes, snot and flauth.
Asada, or steak, is the most frequent meat, but there is also Birria, chicken and chicharron. Soup options are Caldo de Res and Caldo de Pollo. They come with rice and salad on the side.
“We decided to give you something better, less money, better scents of northern Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala of the Farm or the country,” Fuertes said. Ramirers and employees do all the cooking.
The building does not sit inside. Customers can go and place their order. In the end, Drive-Thru will be available.
The hours are from 9am to 9pm every day.
