The Mayor of Hyaliah Esteban Bovo announces resignation after confirming the relocation to Washington Politics – NBC 6 South Florida

Mayor of Hyaliah Esteban Bovo on Monday announced his resignation after confirming that he would leave his position to join his family in Washington

According to Bovo’s cabinet, he will withdraw as mayor of Hyalia on April 27.

BOVO also released a statement that partly reads:

“For more than 25 years, I had the honor and the privilege of serving the residents of the city of Hialeya in various selected opportunities. No one humbled from serving as your mayor from 2021. I often said that the American dream is alive and well and that hyalia is a testimony to what this country makes the great.”

Earlier, he said on the anchor of Telemundo 51 Alejandra Molina that he decided to retreat and move to the nation’s capital to be with his family.

Miami Herald has announced that BOV will join the Southern Group in Washington, a company that has grown significantly after Donald Trump’s arrival in the White House.

Sources show that BOVO will receive a compensation package exceeding its current salary as mayor of Hyalia.
