Authorities in Miami-Dad investigate a lethal incident after a man stabbed two people and then died in a car accident.
According to police, a woman and her boyfriend were at their home of the Northwestern Miami court at about 10:15 Sunday, when the woman’s ex -husband arrived and stabbed them.
The man then fled before the arrival of rescuers and police.
The first responders took the woman to the Ryder trauma center in stable condition, but her boyfriend was declared dead at the scene.
Police reported that a little later, the highway patrol staff and fire rescue workers in Miami-Dad reacted to a crash to the north I-95 to the Palmo Output Ramp.
The driver, whom the authorities identified as husband Alberto Hernandez Smith, 49, died in the accident.
A victim’s friend gave statements to Telemundo51, describing the panic.
Carol Fernandez was at home this Sunday when a man who was her tenant partner came in violently and threatened to kill them all: the woman, her current boyfriend and two minors who were also inside the house, according to her.
According to the witness, the man first stabbed his ex -girlfriend’s boyfriend. “He lived there. I lived here with a friend of mine. She hired this room and I was here with her when he came from there and attacked her,” said the victim’s friend.
“I was here when she came in and said to me, Carol, you killed him, you killed him … what? I called the police, then closed the door and Carla went there to call the police, “but the alleged striker broke the door and entered the room.
Carol managed to escape with the two minors: her own daughter and the son of her friend with the aggressor, who was only 3 years old, because she said that if she had stayed there, something terrible would have happened.
