The man dies after an ambulance encountered a pedestrian during an emergency call – Irvine Times

Police said they had been reported to the A96 crash near Barmuckity Moss, east of Elgin, Morey, about 3.30 pm on Saturday.

The male pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where police said he had died a little later.

The road was closed until the investigations were conducted before they were reopened around 13.20.

Police said investigations on the incident are still ongoing and they have appealed to anyone with information to come out.

Sergeant Dave Cooper of the Road Police said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the dead person and we will do everything we can to support them at this difficult time.

“We were conducting extensive investigations in the area, but I want to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the ambulance or pedestrians before the collision.

“Dashi motorists traveling on A96 between 3.00 hours and 3.30 hours today are asked to inspect their staff and attract something important to our attention.”

Anyone who has information is called to contact the police in Scotland at 101, citing a reference 0494 on February 22.
