Police have found that the pedestrian is lying at an intersection with injuries after the scene arrives.
Winston-Salem, NC-man was killed after a fatal blow and running to Winston-Salem on Friday night, according to police.
On February 7, around 9:13 pm, the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near the New Walkertown Road.
Employees found a pedestrian lying at the intersection with injuries after arriving at the scene.
Police said the vehicle was traveling west by New Walkertown Road and a pedestrian crossing the intersection of New Walkertown Road and Waterworks Road. The vehicle hit pedestrians and escapes from the scene.
The pedestrian, the 41 -year -old Hadim Mbaye, died at the scene. The driver, 42 -year -old Kevin Lewis Johnson, was not injured.
Johnson was accused of driving while he was violated, driving with a canceled certificate, crime, strikes and death from a motor vehicle. It has a secured bond of $ 250,000. His first court appearance is scheduled for February 10th.
