Baton Rouge – the Department of Wildlife and Fishing in Louisiana that it will expand a number of hunting seasons on Monday because of the snowy time from last week.
The agency said that as many roads to hunting were closed last week, it would leave many seasons open a few more days, including:
-Deer (archery) – extended from January 31 to February 2 in deer 1, 2 and 4 areas and in the following wildlife management areas: Alexander State Forest, Atchafalaya Delta, Bayou Macon, Bayou Pierre, Big Colewa Bayou . Pearl River, Richard K. Yancey, Russell Sage, Sabine, Salvador/Timken, Sandy Hollow, Soda Lake and Tangipahoa School School.
-Deer (archery) – extended from February 15 to February 17 in the deer 5, 6 and 9 areas, and in the following wildlife management areas: Acadian conservation corridor, Atacapas Island, Elm, Grassy Lake, Joyce, Manchac, Maurepas Swamp, Pass-A-Lutre, Pointe-Aux-Chenes, POMME DE TERRE, Sherburne, Spring Bayou, Thistlethwaite and Tunica Hills.
-Deer (in the Deer Management Program of Level 1) – Extended from February 15 to February 16 in deer 1, 4, 5, 6 and 9 areas.
-Deer (primitive firearms) – continued from January 31 to February 2 in the regions of Eleni 1, 4, 5, 6 and 9 and in the area of the Tangipahoa parish. The Eleni 5 and 9 paragraphs remain the “dollar” harvest. The wildlife management area of Joyce and Moorepas will also allow hunting on February 1-2.
-Fare pig-long-length pigs from February 28 to March 2 in the Delta of Athafalay, Fort Johnson (North and Vernon), Pass-A-Lutre, Pointe-Aux-Chenes and Salvador/Timken.
-Nuria – extended from February 28 to March 2 in most areas. Nutria can be taken to the Delta of Athafalay, Salvador/Timken, Point-Aox-Cheenes and Passy-Lutre until March 31.
– Cailey, rabbit and squirrel – extended from February 28 to March 2.
–Raccoon (night time) – continued from February 28 to March 2 in Atacapas, Bay Macon, Bayu Pierre, Big Lake, Bodka, Bauf, Buckhorn, Klis Crick, Dewey Wills, Eslasr Field, Grissy ”Gilbert, Joyce, Lylver, Logo Bayo, Manchak, Marsh Bayo, Morepas Slove, Pearl River, Pomme de Ter, Richard K. Yansi, Russell Sage, Sabin Island, Sabin, Sandy Hollow, Sherburne, Spring Bai, Tangipahoa’s Parish, Tunica Hills, Walun West Bay.
