From a Uber driver to a game for New York Yankees, Hyaliata star turned his heads when she appeared on a recent social media page celebrating her entrance to the big leagues.
JC Escarra returned to the cane restaurant, where it worked for a celebration, which was a long time in creation.
Escarra grew up in Hyalea, attending a school at a Mater Academy Charter School before visiting Florida International University.
He was an excellent player at the FIU baseball team, hitting 15 home tracks and driving in 49 tracks in his last collegial season in 2017.
In the same year, it was made by Baltimore Oriols, but will spend the next few years in the secondary leagues for several teams, as well as in Mexican and international leagues.
He now lives his dream after receiving a call from New York Yankees to play as a hunter for the 2025 season.
He said he wanted his journey to be an example for others to never give up their dream.
“From the driving of Uber and replaces teaching so far in the big leagues. I want my story to be an inspiration for everyone out. It’s a dream come true, especially to play at the Yanki Stadium for New York Yankees,” Escara said in the social media video.
He added that his most inspiration was his mother.
Last month, the Yankees shared a video of Escara, telling her mother that she would play in New York on social media.
“We are going to New York,” he said in Spanish in the video as she shouted with excitement.
On Tuesday, his mother reminded him that moment.
“It was a dream come true. I didn’t expect it, but I had it in my heart. God knew that it was the perfect moment,” Marinis Escara said. “When he called it, it was normal until I told me the news, and then I started to smile, scream and cry at the same time,” said Marileis Esra.
JC said he never gave up hope and always pursued his dreams.
He now said he was focused on helping his team win a big one and continue to inspire the younger players to follow in his footsteps.
“I want everyone to continue to press when there is no light at the end of the tunnel, to continue to fight and not give up,” he said.
The Yankees will play on Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.
