Rebecca Sonenshine who had previously worked Vampire’s diaries and The boyswill serve as an executive producer for the new behavior of the old classic. Talking about his excitement from the project, Sonnenshine said he plans to adapt the original novels for contemporary audience:

Although Sonnenshine and How express their enthusiasm to bring Prairie Back, the same cannot be said about the Internet as a whole. Many online have expressed the point of view, “If it hasn’t broken, don’t repair it.” Why rethink a show that already exists? And has stayed over the years?
There is a a Concern that the new show can “wake up” As masses like to say because it is planned to be Netflix production. I mean the worries are valid …

It sounds that Gilbert does not understand what waking up … Dealing with difficult and complex questions such as racism or addiction does not make “awakened”. In fact, most of these problems in the original Lhotp series are approaching a categorically Christian point of view.
